I enjoy writing code. In my travels, I’ve learned Java, C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and of course, BASIC. I’m learning a few others, like Lua, and am familiar with CakePHP and jQuery.
The Paly Voice is probably the best example of my work. The Voice is an award-winning online news source for Palo Alto High School. I was Webmaster from midway through my sophomore year to when I graduated. I did two full site redesigns, facilitated a change to Drupal, and became well-versed on the different ways sites can crash. I learned a ton of CSS, JavaScript (with jQuery), PHP, and Unix.
I’ve taken Java: Discovering Its Power and C++ Programming 1 through UC Berkeley Extension, and am going to major in Computer Science at the University of Michigan.
I’ve done some dinky other stuff as well, but it’s not interesting. Give it time…
